Welcome to the Pearson Teachers Union website! The Pearson Teachers Union exists to protect the professional, economic and social welfare of its members. We negotiate local contracts and oversee the application of both local and provincial agreements. We provide information and services on pension and health plans. There are several committees mandated to oversee matters dealing with curriculum and professional improvement in all educational sectors. All decisions and recommendations are made at Delegates’ assemblies and/or general meetings. New teachers represent the future or our organization.
